600 Palestinians arrested since beginning of Israeli campaign


Ramallah, June 24 (Petra) — The number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces since the beginning of Israel’s campaign in the West Bank has risen to about 600 detainees, following the kidnapping of three settlers in Hebron some two weeks ago.




A copy of a press release received by a Petra reporter in Ramallah and issued by the Palestinian Prisoners Club on Tuesday said that “the number of Palestinian detainees in Hebron (had risen) to about 200 detainees, (while there were) 90 in Nablus, 75 in Bethlehem, 60 in Jenin, 50 in Ramallah, 60 in Jerusalem , 40 in Toulkarim, and 20 in Qalqilya, in addition to around 30 detainees in each town of Tubas and Salfit, as well as 10 detainees in Jericho.
