LAS VEGAS, Oct. 3 (UPI) —
Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will headline Route 91 Harvest.
The 30-year-old singer and her 38-year-old husband will perform at the Las Vegas music festival over the weekend. Shelton will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. PT on Friday, while Lambert is scheduled for 10:15 p.m. PT on Saturday. Jason Aldean is Sunday’s headliner, and other performers include Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Dwight Yoakam and Clare Bowen from ABC series Nashville.
2014 marks the first-ever Route 91 Harvest, and festival organizers plan to make the country extravaganza a yearly event.
"We’re not kidding around," Live Nation Country president Brian O’Connell declared. "We’re putting on a spectacular show and really going for it. We’re standing up to be noticed. We’re confident we’re in this long term and will become an annual event for decades to come."
Lambert released her fifth studio album, Platinum, in June. The record is her first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Automatic" and "Somethin’ Bad." Shelton most recently debuted Bringing Back the Sunshine on Sept. 30. The album is his ninth studio effort, and includes the single "Neon Light."
Route 91 Harvest kicks off Friday, Oct. 3 and will come to a close Sunday, Oct. 5.
