Venezuela releases key opposition figure from jail: opposition

Caracas (AFP) – Venezuelan authorities on Tuesday released key opposition figure Edgar Zambrano from jail, the opposition announced.

Zambrano, the vice president of the National Assembly, was arrested by President Nicolas Maduro’s intelligence service in May for supporting a failed April 30 uprising organized by opposition leader Juan Guaido.
