Wall Street sell-off deepens, Dow falls 2%

Washington (AFP) – Losses on Wall Street accelerated Wednesday afternoon, with the benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average losing two percent.

Shortly after 2000 GMT, the Dow had shaved off more than 500 points at 25,469.45 while the broader SP was down 1.6 percent at 2,735.32.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq had fallen furthest losing 2.4 percent at 7,228.31.
