Obama's Fatherhood.gov Pushes Father-Son Haircut Initiative

The Obama administration re-launched Fatherhood.gov as an initiative of the Department of Health and Human Services in 2010 in an attempt to spread awareness about the value of fatherhood. It had originally been launched by the Clinton administration and re-launched by the Bush administration.

Now, Fatherhood.gov is launching one of its most important missions yet: getting fathers and sons to take haircuts together. “Barbershops across the country will be participating in Fatherhood Buzz, an initiative to support barbershops in connecting dads with local resources to help build strong families,” the site cheers. “This Father’s Day weekend Barbershops across the country will be participating in Fatherhood Buzz, an initiative to support barbershops in connecting dads with local resources to help build strong families.”

What do barbershops have to do with fatherhood? Not much. With the federal government is pushing this program with your tax dollars, it’s no wonder that Americans are so outraged over the national deficit.
