CONCORD, Calif., Feb. 6 (UPI) —
A school in Northern California apologized for a Black History Month school lunch menu that featured fried chicken, cornbread and watermelon, students said.
Parents and students at Carondelet High School for Girls in Concord, Calif., said they were outraged by the offerings, KNTV, San Francisco, reported Thursday.
The school quickly apologized in a letter.
The items were removed from the menu and the school plans to hold a diversity assembly for faculty and students, Libby said.
