George H.W. Bush Wants Jeb to Run for President

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s mother may not want him to run for president, but his father, former President George H.W. Bush, does.

Neil Bush, Jeb Bush’s younger brother, told CNN on Thursday, “If you asked dad… should Jeb run, he’d say yes,”

He also said there never will be “animus” between the Bushes and the Clintons should Hillary Clinton face Jeb Bush in 2016. 

Americans, though, do not appear to want Bush to run. A national poll found that only 15% of Americans want Jeb Bush to run, while another national Washington Post/ABC News poll found that half of Americans would not vote for Bush in a general election, undercutting the GOP establishment’s “electability” argument for his candidacy.
