As VA Scandal Builds, Obama Vows to 'Keep the Faith' With War Veterans on Memorial Day

During his remarks at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, President Barack Obama vowed to “keep the faith” with war veterans, specifically mentioning the Veterans Affairs scandal rocking his administration.

Obama spoke about the “sacred obligations” that America owed its soldiers.

Obama has vowed to investigate reports of delayed care and secret waiting lists at Veterans Affairs hospitals but has not acted swiftly to crack down on the failing bureaucracy in the agency.

According to the department’s Inspector General, 26 VA facilities are under investigation.

During his trip to visit the troops Afghanistan on Sunday, Obama also reassured soldiers that they would receive the care that they were promised.
