Rapper Rich Ross–a.k.a. William Leonard Roberts II–owns 25 Wingstop restaurants and says that while he supports “the right to bear arms” it would be best if his customers leave their guns in the car.
Ross was involved in a shooting in which he was ambushed in March 2013, and at the time police said he “was carrying a 9mm handgun with 12 live rounds.”
According to the Huffington Post, Ross said he has a concealed carry license, but added: “When I go into public places, when I go out and enter certain places, I believe it’s best to leave your firearm in your vehicle. Go in and enjoy your meal.”
Ross was asked about the open carry demonstrations that have become more common over the past year, and he pointed out that much of that was “in Texas.” He then said: “I believe bringing a rifle into any closed building is too much.”
