Report: White House Thinks Exec Amnesty for 5 Million Illegals Not 'Something Huge'

President Barack Obama is reportedly set to give temporary amnesty to nearly 5 million illegal immigrants, and White House officials reportedly believe that is not “huge.”

On MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart, Chris Jansing, the network’s senior White House correspondent, said that Obama is likely to enact his massive executive amnesty after he returns from his trip to Estonia and Wales next week.

Jansing said on Monday that “senior White House officials” said that amnesty “supporters should not expect something huge” because Obama’s executive amnesty “will probably affect somewhere in the neighborhood of maybe 5 million undocumented immigrants.”

Jost Diaz-Balart, the host, jumped in and said that “5 million is a big, big number” because that represents “almost half” of the illegal immigrants in the country. Later on the program, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) said such an action would be unprecedented and the news was “music to my ears.”
