White House: We Weren't Looking for 'Ebola Expert' to Be Ebola Czar

On Friday, the White House said its new Ebola Response Coordinator Ronald Klain was “not an Ebola expert” because the Obama administration wasn’t looking for one.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked, “What does Ronald Klain know about Ebola?”

“What we were looking for is not an ebola expert but rather an implementation expert, and that’s exactly what Ron Klain is,” Earnest responded, saying Klain’s job as the “Ebola Response Coordinator” would be to “manage the implementation of our whole-of-government approach to Ebola.”

Klain, as Breitbart News noted, is a partisan operative and lobbyist who was Vice President Joe Biden’s former chief of staff. After being on the losing side in the 2000 presidential recount in Florida, Klain now believes that elections are rigged.
