Obama Vows 'Leaner' Military In Ongoing Fight Against Terror

Speaking to the members of the military this afternoon, President Obama thanked them for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as their work to fight Islamic State terrorists and Ebola in Africa.

Obama signaled widespread success in his air campaign against the Islamic State terrorists in the Middle East that destroyed a lot of the U.S. military gains under President George W. Bush.

Obama also warned terrorists that their ideology was part of the past.

Obama made his remarks during a speech in New Jersey, at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
