Actress Julianne Moore is praising White House Senior advisor Valerie Jarrett for her recent efforts to promote gun control.

Jarrett hosted a Q-and-A session on Twitter with pro gun control groups Moms Demand Action and Sandy Hook Promise to raise awareness for their efforts.

“Heartened to see so much interest in how we can all stop gun violence,” Jarrett wrote. “Be sure to make your voice heard so we can see real change.” Moore, who won an Emmy playing a version of Sarah Palin in the movie “Game Change” helped promote Jarrett’s tweets, assuring her that Hollywood was prepared to assist in the conversation about guns.

Moore is no stranger to the issue, frequently marveling at those who oppose her on the issue.

“I get more reactions on Twitter about gun safety than anything else,” she said in January. “I don’t understand how we’re threatening the Second Amendment because we’re talking about gun safety rules. That, to me, is really shocking.”

Jarrett offered few details about what the president was prepared to do on gun control, but sent multiple positive messages to activists who engaged with her on Twitter.
