Five Great Concealed Carry Holsters for Your Christmas Wish List

Shoulder-Holster

Over the past week, Breitbart News has provided an overview of six concealed carry pistols and five concealed carry revolvers for your Christmas wish list. After all, Black Friday is fast approaching, which means Santa’s visit is right around the corner.

But here is something to remember–even the best gun will do you no good unless it is with you when you need it. Because of this, Breitbart News wants to cover some of the best concealed carry holsters on the market. These holsters let you comfortably keep your gun on your person so it is readily accessible when an attempted assault, robbery, or worse reduces a normal day to a moment of life and death.

Here are the holsters:

Clinger Stingray Holster–Clinger Holsters make an IWB (inside the waistband) holster that is incredibly comfortable, sweat proof, and holds your pistol or revolver secure. For a pistol like the Glock 43–an super compact single stack 9mm handgun–the Clinger Stingray is equally compact. In fact, the Stingray for Glock 43 is so compact and comfortable that you may forget you are carrying a gun. The holster can be placed anywhere along the inside of your waistband but is normally worn on your dominant side, right where your side and your back meet (on a right-handed person this means the holster usually sits just to the right of the rear pocket). A belt clip is attached to the holster and discreetly hooks over your belt–to anchor it–while the holster itself sits out of sight inside your waistband.

Approximate price for a Clinger Stingray holster is $40.

Alien Gear Cloak Mod Paddle Holster–The Alien Gear Cloak Mod Paddle Holster is an OWB (outside the waistband) holster. It holds your pistol on your hip–no revolvers with this holster–sits outside your waistband, and is concealed via the shirt, sweat shirt, jacket, or other piece of clothing you wear on a given day. The Cloak Mod Paddle Holster holds your gun higher than other paddle holsters–which means more of the gun is above the level of your belt than below it. This, in turn, means when you carry concealed while wearing a tshirt and a pair of jeans the gun is far less likely to hang or stick out below the bottom of the shirt. It provides true concealment.

The Cloak Mod Paddle Holster has an unmatched feel while drawing or holstering your firearm. Your pistol or revolver will literally fit into the Cloak Mod like a glove.

Approximate price for a Cloak Mod Paddle Holster is $48.

Fobus Holsters–Fobus makes paddle holsters that are affordable and durable. In fact, they are extremely durable. An OWB Fobus holster is less expensive than the Alien Gear Cloak Mod Paddle Holster, but the trade-off is that the Fobus holster will hold the gun lower–meaning the tip of the gun could be visible below the bottom of some T-shirts. However, the benefit of a Fobus holster is that they have been at this a long time and the Israeli-based company makes a product that works. Your pistol or revolver will literally snap into place inside a Fobus and it will stay put unless you draw it in a moment of necessity.

Approximate price for a Fobus paddle holster is $25 to $35.

DeSantis Super Fly–The DeSantis Super Fly holster is an option for concealed permit holders who carry small semi-automatics and/or small-frame revolvers. The holster is designed to allow you to carry the gun in your front pocket without having the gun “print”–i.e., without having the outline of the gun visible to people who see you throughout the day. The holster gives the impression that you are simply carrying a wallet or cell phone in your front pocket. If you live in a climate where cargo pants and shorts are commonplace, a DeSantis Super Fly is a great choice for carrying a Ruger LCP, a Glock 42 or 43, a Kimber Micro, or any number of similarly sized firearms.

Approximate price for a DeSantis Super Fly is $40.

Uncle Mike’s Holsters–Uncle Mike’s makes a wide variety of holsters, from $10-$15 IWB holsters to $30-$35 OWB holsters, $55-$65 standard retention holsters and everything in between. They also make concealed carry holsters for your ankle. These holsters allow you to carry a small semi-automatic or small-frame revolver without any one who walks past you being any the wiser. Uncle Mike’s also makes holsters for carrying large frame revolvers, including revolvers designed for hunting.
