Police in Columbia, South Carolina, say a 30-year-old man is dead after pulling a knife and a gun on another man outside The Little Gym.

ABC reports that two men got into an argument inside the gym around 1 pm. That argument continued outside, with one of the men–30-year-old Justin B. Archie–pulling a knife before getting a gun from his car.

As the argument continued, Archie allegedly fired at the other individual, but missed. The other individual then pulled and fired his own gun, wounding Archie.

Archie was transported to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Fox 57 reports that the man who shot Archie quickly called 911 and waited for police to arrive. Police indicate that the man who fired the fatal shot was in lawful possession of a firearm.

Columbia Police has been ruled self-defense so no charges are to be filed against the man shot Archie.
