A MetroPCS store clerk shot and killed an alleged armed robber Monday afternoon in Philadelphia, PA.

WPVI reports it was about 4 p.m. local time when the suspect entered the store in Southwest Philadelphia and was shot by the clerk.

CBS3’s Greg Argos posted surveillance video of the robbery suspect allegedly drawing a gun only to have the store employee draw his own gun:

CBS3 quoted Philadelphia Police Capt. Scott Drissel saying, “[The employee] discharged his firearm at the robbery suspect numerous times, striking him.”

This MetroPCS store in Southwest Philadelphia “has been robbed at least two other times in the past year.” The employee who shot the alleged robber has a license to carry a gun for self-defense.
