In what will be his first television interview about the fake girlfriend hoax that has consumed the sports world for the last week, Manti Te’o will sit down with television personality Katie Couric next week.
According to the New York Times, the interview will air on Thursday on “Katie,” which is Couric’s syndicated talk show. Te’o’s choice is worth noting because Couric is not a sports journalist.
Couric’s interview will be scrutinized, especially after Oprah Winfrey did her homework and asked many of the relevant questions to Lance Armstrong that the sports world expected during her interview with the disgraced cyclist last week.
