Ray Lewis, Karl Malone, David Robinson See Sons Sign on National Signing Day

Famous Hall of Fame athletes like Karl Malone and David Robinson got their names in the headlines on Wednesday during National Signing Day because of their sons.

This was one of many story lines that emerged from Wednesday’s National Signing Day in college football.

Last year, former Detroit Lions great Barry Sanders’ son, Barry Sanders Jr., decided to play football at Stanford. And this year, more prominent former athletes became proud fathers on Signing Day. Here is a look at some of them.

Ray Lewis, Baltimore Ravens linebacker

Lewis’s son, Ray Lewis III, picked his father’s alma mater – Miami.

Torii Hunter, Detroit Tigers outfielder

Hunter’s son, wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr., sent in his letter of intent to Notre Dame.

David Robinson, former San Antonio Spurs center

Robinson’s son, Corey Robinson, is a standout wide receiver who picked Notre Dame.

Karl Malone, former Utah Jazz forward

Malone’s son, Karl Malone Jr., is an offensive lineman. He chose LSU.

Ken Hill, former Major League Baseball pitcher

Hill’s son, Kenny Hill, a quarterback who “was named the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors player of the year,” committed to Texas A&M. He is also a great baseball player.
