Akron really looked like they had a shot to pull an upset or two with Zeke Marshall dominating inside on his way to the NBA, and a strong junior point guard getting him the ball and running the offense. Then that guard, Alex Abreu, was suspended after an arrest and to make matters worse, giant killer VCU is named as the Zips first opponent in the tournament.
