Arizona 5, Atlanta 3

Paul Goldschmidt hit three double to knock out Tim Hudson and beat the Braves, 5-3 Wednesday night.

Eric Chavez also drove in three runs as Ian Kennedy (2-3) won his first since opening day.

LA Dodgers 3, Washington 1

Another pitchers’ duel saw Zack Greinke return from the disabled list to down the Nationals, 3-1. Greinke pitched into the 6th, giving up one run and hitting an RBI single to give the Dodgers a lead they would not relinquish.

Adam LaRoche hit a home run to extend his hitting streak to 12 games for the Nationals. Ross Detwiler left after the third with back spasms, but is expected to be ok.

Cleveland 10, Philadelphia 4

The Indians put a bit more distance between the Phillies and .500 Wednesday night, beating the Phillies 10-4. Corey Kluber (3-2) allowed three runs in 6 innings to get the win; Cole Hamels allowed five runs in five innings to take the loss, his sixth on the year.

St. Louis 4, NY Mets 2

Shelby Miller throws 5 2/3 scoreless as the Cardinals took their third in a row from the Mets, 4-2 Wednesday.

John Jay, Tony Cruz, and Yadier Molina had RBIs for the Cards, who go for the sweep Thursday night.

Cincinnati 4, Miami 0

Shin-Soo Choo hit 2 hone runs and four Reds pitchers combined to shut out the Marlins 4-0 Wednesday night. Mike Leake pitched 6 2/3 for the win; Alex Sanabia took the loss, his sixth.
