Dallas Wins NFL Draft Coin Toss; to Pick 16th

NEW YORK, Feb. 19 (UPI) —
A coin toss Wednesday has awarded the Dallas Cowboys the 16th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, finalizing the order of the player-selection process.

Dallas and the Baltimore Ravens both finished 2013 with 8-8 records and the same strength of schedule (.484). That left NFL officials resorting to a coin toss to determine which teams drafts before the other. A coin that had each team’s logo on opposite sides was used and the Cowboys’ came up.

That put Dallas in the No. 16 spot in the draft while Baltimore will select 17th.

The NFL draft is scheduled for May 8-10.
