Freedom Tower BASE Jumpers Identified; Daredevils Face Burglary Charges

Four men will be charged with burglary and other charges after they BASE–buildings, antennae, spans, earth–jumped off of Freedom Tower on September 30, 2013. Three actually jumped while one stayed on the ground as security.

Andrew Rossing, James Brady and Marco Markovich jumped from the roof, which is about 1,368 feet high at 3AM. Kyle Hartwell was the lookout on the ground, but he will be charged with the same crimes. The three jumpers taped their adventure and uploaded it to YouTube.

All four are expected to turn themselves in on Thursday to New York Police Department’s First Precinct. Investigators did not release details on how they found out their identities. But when they did, search warrants were issued and authorities found the GoPro cameras with the footage of them men jumping off the tower.
