Notre Dame Women's Basketball Team Dons 'I Can't Breathe' Shirts

On December 13, the Notre Dame women’s basketball team donned “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirts for warm-ups before their game against Michigan.

Team members said “their coach and the university” approved when they asked if they could wear the shirts.

According to ESPN, Notre Dame forward Taya Reimer said: “A few of us talked about it and we thought wearing these shirts for the game would be a cool way to show our support and give our condolences to families that have lost someone.”

Coach Muffet McGraw said her staff supported the teams’ decision and “dressed in black to show their support.”

McGraw said: “I was really proud of our team, especially Taya, to publicly stand for something you believe in.”
