Warren Sapp Arrested at SB for Solicitation, Assault

Warren Sapp

Police arrested NFL Network commentator Warren Sapp for solicitation and assault in the early daylight hours of Monday.

A financial disagreement between two women and Sapp allegedly resulted in a physical struggle of some sort. The former Buccaneers defensive lineman’s record features two domestic battery assaults but zero convictions. The two women received citations for prostition-related offenses from the Phoenix police department after reporting the alleged crimes.

The arrest came 13 years after Sapp starred in Tampa Bay’s drubbing of the Oakland Raiders, a team he would later join, in the Super Bowl. The Pro Football Hall of Fame inducted Sapp into its ranks in 2013.

The NFL Network, which featured Sapp on its broadcast Sunday, suspended the former interior defensive lineman from its airwaves following the arrest.
