Russia Dismisses Rumors of Seeking Military Base in Argentina as 'Provocative Lie'

Moscow,March 26 (QNA) – The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday dismissed as a "provocative lie" rumors of Moscow’s plans to build a military base in Argentina.




"We were surprised to see reports circulated on the Internet alleging that Russia is planning to open a military base in Argentina," spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement relayed by Russian Ria-Novosti .




"This provocative lie would not be worth our comments if not for the accompanying speculations on how Russia is going to develop relations with Argentina in the future," the statement said.(QNA)
