The New York Times reviewed California’s new law mandating that companies in the state have a minimum number of women on their corporate boards, and concluded the law would add a grand total of one woman to one major company — namely, Apple.

California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill Sunday that will require companies to meet quotas for the representation of women on corporate boards.

California’s Democrat-dominated legislature is moving to require “gender diversity” on the boards of publicly-held companies, which would have to appoint individuals self-identifying as female.
