A woman in Germany died from a head injury as she stood outside her house on New Year’s Eve to watch fireworks and an autopsy suggests it was a gunshot wound, authorities said Thursday.

German authorities say a man who was supposed to appear as a witness at a trial in Germany failed to show up and was found dead in a court toilet three days later.
