The mosquitos that can carry the Zika virus have reportedly appeared in 129 California cities. With cold winter weather the only major obstacle to the Zika virus becoming America’s first pandemic since the 1957 Asian Flu, ground zero for a potential pandemic is now the West Coast.

Downtown L.A. in Biggest Building Boom since 1920s

Breitbart News recently noted that the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Santa Monica is the most expensive in the nation at $4,799.20. But it is not just Silicon Beach that is booming: the Los Angeles downtown business district (DBD) is in its biggest residential building boom since the 1920s.

‘Silicon Beach’ Kicks Off Annual Festival in L.A.

The largest tech event in Los Angeles kicked off in Marina Del Rey on Wednesday night. Organizers of Silicon Beach Fest are anticipating over 2,000 techies to attend the conference over the course of the next three days.
