Pentagon: Lloyd Austin Remains in Hospital After Cancer Treatment

The U.S. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin remains in hospital and is in “good condition” after treatment for prostate cancer, the Pentagon said Saturday. Austin has resumed some of his duties from his hospital bed and is in “contact with his senior staff,” the statement outlined.

Sen. Roger Wicker Calls for a Briefing from the Pentagon After It Hid Austin’s Hospitalization

The top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Roger Wicker, slammed the Pentagon for its “shocking defiance of the law” after it failed to disclose Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s hospitalization to the president, the National Security Council, and Congress for several days, and called for a briefing from the administration “immediately.”

Biden Admin, DOD Sued for Canceling ‘Sound of Freedom’ Film Screenings

A lawsuit was filed Thursday by the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project to compel the Biden administration and the Department of Defense (DOD) to produce all records concerning screenings of the hit movie Sound of Freedom after U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) abruptly canceled screenings without explanation earlier this year.
