A student at the University of Florida claims that he was assaulted near campus on the Fourth of July because he was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Professor OiYan Poon at Colorado State University has reportedly announced that she is done “going high” when others go low, and is now ready to “punch” those whom she disagrees with politically “in the neck.” The professor also noted that she believes former First Lady Michelle Obama would agree.

Whether perpetrated by students or school faculty, instances of violence or threats against conservative students — and sometimes even conservative professors — are becoming commonplace on America’s college campuses. This trend is also expanding to the high school level.

UC Berkeley responded to the violent incident on its campus caught on video on Tuesday, stating that the school affirming its “commitment to freedom of expression.”
