Legendary independent war correspondent Michael Yon tweeted today that he will be publishing via Twitter as opposed to Facebook following censorship of his posts and comments without “reasonable cause” by the social media giant, who he accuses of arrogance.
Facebook censored another of my posts w/o reasonable cause. I am publishing on Twitter now. I was putting things on FB that never hit MSM.

FB continues to censor my comments and others. FB arrogance does not help it:https://t.co/9pF5JGvJrk

@Michael_Yon Twitter is much easier to use than FB, but I am on realizing that now after the FB censorship.

Yon, who is a special forces veteran, is most well known for his reporting and photography while embedded with United States and British forces during the Iraq war. He has also covered the war in Afghanistan and global terrorism, regularly posting articles on his website.
His reporting is notable for being completely independent, as his operations are funded by reader donations.
Yon’s photograph “Little Girl” is considered one of the iconic images of the Iraq war.
Michael Yon has established a solid Facebook presence, with more than 361,000 likes on his fan page, however based on his comments today it appears he will move his work to Twitter. Fans and those interested in military and terrorism reporting outside of the mainstream should follow him @michael_yon.
