#BasketOfDeplorables has begun trending on Twitter following comments by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton calling Trump supporters bigots and a “basket of deplorables.”
Speaking to a group of Donors, Clinton said, “To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables, right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”
Users took to Twitter to express their disdain and began trending the hashtag #BasketOfDeplorables with approximately 60K tweets.
