Local reports state that a man stripped naked and began dancing in Houston, Texas on May 9. Up to 30 people gathered around the man and watched him as he danced at a crowded intersection, according to the local KHOU.
The incident, which took place around 12 pm, upset several residents who live close by. In a video of the event, several young children can be seen watching the man parade around naked.
Resident Courtney Moody told KHOU, “I’m just happy that my kids weren’t here to see it. It’s too much. It’s too vulgar.” Another disturbed neighbor, Tammy Norwood, added, “I think it’s sickening. It’s disgusting. It’s gross. It’s nasty.”
Some witnesses, however, were reportedly cheering the man on; several individuals caught the incident on camera. Chad Arceneaux, who was there are the time, told KHOU, “He was doing the Beyonce, the surf board, twerking, the Nae Nae. Every dance that’s out there right now, he was doing. I didn’t know what was next.”
Eventually, the man’s family members intervened and covered him up with a sheet.
Apparently, the man has been known to frequent the area in the past; he had never stripped naked before, however.
Carla Meyers, the man’s cousin, told local media that she is upset about what transpired. “That’s my cousin, that’s embarrassing,” she said. “He’s in the middle of the street. Something is going on with him evidently because he’s never did that before. Everybody is videoing it, but nobody stops to make sure he was okay.”
Meyers told KHOU that her cousin was recently using embalming fluid to get high. He needs help, Meyers said.
The man is allegedly now in the custody of the Houston Police Department. KHOU reported that his mental health will be evaluated.
This marks the third incident of this nature in Houston so far this month.
On May 8, Breitbart Texas reported on a man who has reportedly been going to the bathroom on the yards of residents in the Woodland Heights area of the city. He has defecated in some yards as many as six times.
Only one week prior, on May 3, Breitbart Texas reported on another naked man that caused havoc. This man stripped off his clothing, one item at a time, and then harassed citizens at Hermann Park in Houston. Witnesses to the event included multiple children.
A spokesperson with the Houston Police Department told Breitbart Texas the man’s girlfriend said he had taken drugs before the incident occurred. The girlfriend did not specify what drugs were supposedly ingested.
The man from the Hermann Park incident was eventually apprehended by officers and transported to Ben Taub hospital for mental health treatment. He faces no charges.
