Couple Busted Crossing Border with Heroin in Anal and Vaginal Cavities

A man and woman from San Antonio are facing federal drug smuggling charges after border agents found heroin packets hidden in their anal and vaginal cavities.

Over the weekend, Christopher Michael Lopez and Linda Ann Garcia walked across an international bridge into Laredo, Texas when they came up to an inspection area run by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), according to court records obtained by Breitbart Texas.

During questioning their answers were not consistent, so CBP officers sent the two to a secondary inspection area where they ended up finding two packets of heroin that had been inserted into their anal and vaginal cavities. The total weight of the heroin was roughly 200 grams.

During questioning, the two said that they had been hired by an unidentified black man from San Antonio to bring the drugs from the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo and they would be paid $200 for the transportation.

People ingesting or inserting drugs is an uncommon practice at land ports of entry where drug smugglers tend to rely on vehicles loaded with larger amounts of drugs. Internal carriers as they are called are primarily seen in airports.

Both Lopez and Garcia remain in federal custody without bond pending trial.
