Authorities have caught 195 aliens who are part of gangs such as Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) and other groups deemed to be high risk criminal gangs by law enforcement. The arrests were made by U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector

The arrests of the illegal alien gang members took part in the most recent fiscal year which began in October 2014, information provided to Breitbart Texas by the Border Patrol’s RGV sector revealed.

One of the most recent arrests took place at the Sarita Border Patrol Checkpoint which is about 90 miles from the border with Mexico. In that arrest agents stopped an illegal alien from El Salvador who turned out to be a member of the fearsome Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang.

As Breitbart Texas previously reported, the Mara Salvatrucha gang is a powerful criminal organization with an approximate 70,000 members in El Salvador and in America. The group began in Los Angeles as a gang made up of illegal aliens and has since turned in one of the most dangerous criminal organizations known for their ruthless executions and close ties to Mexican drug cartels.

The other recent arrest took place in the border city of Roma when agents caught an illegal alien from Mexico; when they processed him the man was identified as a member of the 18th Street Gang. That gang is one of the largest gangs in the Los Angeles area with an approximate 35,000 members worldwide and is known to be involved in drug trafficking, kidnapping, racketeering, human trafficking and other criminal  activities.
