**Insta-Fact Check** Live-Blogging The ObamaMedia

Because the corrupt media is so breathtakingly corrupt in its push to reelect a failed president, Big Journalism needs a running live blog. Please help us in our quest to capture the breadth and scope of this corruption by forwarding your tips to jnolte@breitbart.com or Twitter me @NolteNC.

Media Not At All Interested In White House’s Libya Narrative Collapsing

This morning, neither the New York Times, the Washington Post, Politico, CNN or MSNBC are at all interested in the fact that for two weeks now the White House manufactured a phony narrative about how our Libyan Ambassador, Chris Stevens, was raped and murdered in a spontaneous protest over a film.

Now it’s all but certain that our ambassador was targeted and assasinated by al-Queada — that this was a terrorist attack on American soil (our embassies and consulates are American soil), and a very successful one. Moreover, this is an assassination we were warned about but did nothing.

And yet, the media doesn’t care. There is nothing about this new information on the front web-pages of the any mainstream media outlet and what reporting CNN andMSNBC have done only downplays the reality of this appalling act of war and the White House’s equally appalling cover up.

There’s A Lot More Ron Reagan in Peggy Noonan Than Ronald Reagan

The increasingly appalling and likely Obama supporter, Peggy Noonan, doubled down on her attacks on the Romney campaign today and the media just couldn’t be more thankful. Looking for any reason to squeeze the rest of the life out of the ’47 percent’ video, Ms. Noonan’s latest musings in the Wall Street Journal gave them that in spades.

Politico’s Mike Allen devoted four of the top five “Playbook” paragraphs to it and all morning long both CNN and MSNBC have devoted what could’ve been a day talking about Obama’s Univision errors to Ms. Noonan’s self-serving, narcissistic and desperate drive for attention.

Apparently, Ms. Noonan learned nothing from her former boss, President Reagan, about the 11th Commandment or putting your country above your shriveled, hardened, and bitter ego.

Who Are the 40% Stupid Enough to Trust the Media?

Gallup has a new poll out today showing that 60% of Americans don’t trust the “mass media,” which makes you wonder who the 40% are.

Just as an American level, it’s troubling that so many lack even a healthy distrust of such a large and powerful institution. I don’t have kids, but if I did, you can bet that this would be one of the first things they learned from me (after taking out the garbage, mowing the lawn, and fetching beers).

The good news in the poll is that distrust is growing. 60% is a record high:

The current gap between negative and positive views — 20 percentage points — is by far the highest Gallup has recorded since it began regularly asking the question in the 1990s. Trust in the media was much higher, and more positive than negative, in the years prior to 2004 — as high as 72% when Gallup asked this question three times in the 1970s.

This year’s decline in media trust is driven by independents and Republicans. The 31% and 26%, respectively, who express a great deal or fair amount of trust are record lows and are down significantly from last year.

Oh, so it’s mostly Democrats who are the cows in the 40%. Now it all makes sense. Though it is disturbing to think they’re buying into what’s happening in media as ethical and fair. You’re pretty lost when you can’t see your own bull shit.

But let’s keep one thing in mind, though the media itself won’t allow itself to believe it — this is a self-inflicted wound. The media has worked overtime to lose trust and impact and as we’ve seen this campaign season, they put a much, much higher premium on getting Obama reelected than their own integrity.

But the media won’t allow its eyes to be opened by this 60% number. Instead, they will spin it in a way where they’re victims and crusaders fighting the unpopular fight for what is good and right. Unfortunately, what they don’t understand is that what’s good and right isn’t pursuing a left-wing agenda. That’s not the media’s job.

At least it’s not supposed to be.
