Union Boss, Lobbyist Qualify For $1M Pension After Teaching For One Day

David Piccioli and Steven Preckwinkle, both union officials in Illinois, took advantage of legislation that allowed them to substitute teach for one day and then count their years as union employees toward a state teachers’ pension. The two potentially stand to collect more than a million dollars each in pension money in their lifetimes.
