Grammys Opens In Prayer, Climaxes With Jennifer Hudson's Whitney Houston Tribute

Whitney Houston’s tragic death on Saturday at the age of 48 was memorialized during the Grammys Sunday night with an opening prayer by LL Cool J and an emotional performance by Jennifer Hudson. Hudson sang “I Will Always Love You” following the compilation of performers the music industry had lost over the past year. Hudson was dressed in black on a dark backlit stage underneath a photo of Whitney Houston. Hudson ended the song, “Whitney, we love, we love you.”
