The Quebec government has rejected talks with its striking students after a violent night of protests in Montreal left shattered windows and three injured police officers. The riot in the city’s downtown Wednesday led to the arrest of 85 people and left scores of businesses and one police station damaged as protesters employed “Black Bloc” tactics, police say.
