Families, First Responders Upset Over Tourist Decorum At 9/11 Memorial

FOX NEWS: As the nation approaches the anniversary of the September 11th attacks, some of the victims’ family members and first responders are speaking out about the national memorial in New York City. They say they are outraged that some tourists are treating the site like a playground or a Disney attraction. First responder, Marianne Pizzitola, lost friends from the fire department on 9/11 and was so upset over what she witnessed when she visited, that she wrote a letter to president of the memorial.

Pizzitola joined Fox and Friends and expressed that it was visitors, both American and foreign, who were not displaying proper decorum. She said, “Moms had their babies on the tablets of all the names, and to me that was the same as a tombstone and it should’ve been respected. People leaning on them, holding Starbucks cups like it was a kitchen table.”
