Trash-talking basketball fans open fire inside subway car

Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of a shooting on the SEPTA El train following the 76ers game that left two men wounded.

The shooting happened at 10:39 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say a 35-year-old Chicago Bulls fan wearing his team’s jersey was celebrating Chicago’s win over the Sixers. That’s when two younger riders took issue and the talk turned ugly.
At about one minute into the video, the train stops at 46th and Market Street and the suspects exit onto the platform.

Surveillance cameras were rolling as one of the suspects, described as a teenager wearing a blue, puffy vest, turned around, pulled out a gun, and fired.

Another camera showed the suspect being hit and falling to the ground as the gunman, and his partner, flee.

That bullet went through that victim’s stomach and hit a second man in the right thigh.
