Carney: Obama Made 'Gutsy' Calls On Economy With Advice Of Geithner

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney: “[Timothy Geithner’s] record, I think, four years on now, reflects some very gusty decisions that were made by the President, on the advice of the Secretary of the Treasury, that helped prevent a far worse economic crisis than we endured. I think if you look at the state of the American economy, the fact is that while we are not growing as much as we want, we are not creating jobs as fast as we would like, we are doing far better than a number of other countries that endured the fiscal crisis and economic crisis… and that is in part because of some of the tough calls made by the President and his Treasury Secretary.”
