Teenager Saves Rape Victim From Attacker

MICHIGAN (PIX11) – Two Michigan kids are credited with helping saving a woman’s life. A man abducted the victim from the central Michigan University campus at gunpoint and raped her at her his mother’s home. He then forced her back into the car, and told her he was going to kill her. That’s when she jumped out and ran to a nearby house for help. 14-year-old James Persyn was home babysitting his younger siblings. The victim was banging on the door, so he let her in. While the victim and the children were hiding inside, the attacker set the house on fire, then fled the scene. The children’s father came home and put out the blaze. Police eventually caught up with the rapist and shot and killed him. Meantime, the Sheriff is presenting the kids with lifesaving awards next month.
