Gay Couple Founds Evangelical Church in Brazil

(AFP) – As Brazil, the world’s largest Catholic country, prepares for Pope Francis’s visit for the World Youth Day, same-sex couples continue to gain legal rights. But the Catholic Church still condemns homosexuality. Evangelical churches, although still very much conservative for some, have proven more flexible, allowing followers to decide for themselves. Many gays and lesbians have turned to them, like more than 20% of the Brazilian population.
