Police Chief: Injured Officer Now 'Stable'

Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy Lanier confirmed to reporters late Monday evening that the officer who engaged murderer Aaron Alexis is stable after being shot in both legs and sustaining injuries to bone vein regions. Lanier also implored for residents to keep clear of the area and thanked the community for their patience.
