Cop In Hot Water Over Alleged Anti-Obama Remark

FOX *: NEW ORLEANS – On the eve of President Barack Obama’s visit to New Orleans, an NOPD sergeant was reassigned for allegedly making an offensive comment about him. Sgt. Chris Landry was reassigned from the Training Academy, where he was a firearms instructor, to the First District. Sources tell FOX 8 that during a training class Thursday, while talking about firearms and animals, Landry allegedly referred to the president as an animal. Landry also serves as the first vice president of the executive board for the Fraternal Order of Police. FOP spokesman Raymond Burkart III said the board is investigating and Landry is cooperating.

NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas released a statement saying that it was imperative that he reassign Landry.
