Kansas Candidate for US Senate Milton Wolf Gives 'Family Response' to SOTU

Dr. Milton Wolf, candidate for U.S. Senate challenging incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts (R-KS) for the GOP’s nomination for the 2014 U.S. Senate race, offered the “family response” to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Transcript as follows:

WOLF: Hi, I’m Dr. Milton Wolf, President Obama’s conservative cousin from Kansas. This year’s State of the Union may have had new packaging, but inside were the same empty promises. President Obama’s claim that he wants every American to have a fair shot at success, well that’s a lie, just as he lied when he said if you like your health plan, you can keep it.

If the President were being honest, he’d have said he wants your success to be less, so that others can have more. President Obama doesn’t trust us, and he doesn’t share our belief in American exceptionalism. Now, I’m a doctor, not a politician, and I don’t mind telling you the truth. It’s not just the President who’s ruining our country. Big spenders from both parties are working hand-in-hand to spend money we don’t have.

Too many establishment Republicans, like my opponent, Senator Pat Roberts, who’s been in Washington for 47 years, have lost their way. In Roberts’ case, he voted for President Obama’s $600 billion fiscal cliff tax hike. He voted to raise the debt ceiling not once or twice, but 11 times. And Pat Roberts voted to put Kathleen Sebelius in charge of ObamaCare. There’s a better way. A return to the constitutional principles that made this country great. A return to the belief that you should be able to choose your doctor and your health plan.

A return to the divinely inspired American idea of individual liberty, limited government and free-market values. If you want a return to American greatness, and if you believe Kansans deserve more than just a vote, but a voice, please go to MiltonWolf.com and join our team. You want to drive Barack Obama crazy? Send his fearless conservative cousin to the United States Senate.
