London Islamists Campaign for Instating Islamic Law in Britain

Anjem Choudary: The problems that we face today are symptomatic of the fact that we don’t have the shari’a and caliphate in place. So therefore, we look at what is happening in Mali, in Somalia, now we find it in the Central African Republic, what took place in Iraq and Afghanistan – we can see that the root cause of all of this is the absence of Islam as a way of life in our own lives.

We always say that we are on the brink of the shari’a. We believe, now with what is taking place in Syria, with the overthrowing of many dictators in Muslim countries – in Tunisia, in Egypt, in Yemen – that this is something that we feel in our hearts is coming quite soon. Obviously, the dark night will always precede the bright dawn.

We can find that many people have been slaughtered in Syria and we see the bloodshed in Africa as well. But we find now that in many countries the call for shari’a is very loud. People were not calling for the caliphate and the shari’a in Tunisia, but now they are. They are talking about it in Libya.

There are areas where they are implementing the shari’a now in Iraq and in Syria. A third of Iraq is under the auspices and control of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, and if we can find sections of Afghanistan and many other places in Somalia and Mali…We find that this project of localized implementation of the shari’a will transform, Allah willing, into general implementation of the shari’a.
