Fred Thompson: 'The President is Dividing The Nation'

Former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN) warned yesterday that the direction of the country, and contentious political battles taking place in DC, have got to change or “we’ll be a second-class nation, and bankrupt.”

Thompson claims it’s not just the policies of the President that are bringing the nation down, but also his behavior. Rather than uniting the country, he is “dividing the nation every chance he gets. Its rich versus poor, black versus white, old versus young.”

Thompson also laments that President Barack Obama has the ability and intelligence to bring his supporters into a direction we’ll have to go eventually, but that “he’s choosing to play ‘small-ball’, narrow politics for his own self-aggrandizement.”
