Reporter to Rahm Emanuel: Will CNN Report Production Cost of 'Chicagoland' as Campaign Contribution?

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and CNN are under fire for an eight-part documentary series “Chicagoland” in which the Emanuel is featured in a very positive light.

Recent reports by Chicago Tribune’s Bill Ruthhart that the “Chicagoland” production team worked closely with Mayor Emanuel’s advisers “to develop story-lines and arrange specific camera shots have added to the political firestorm that Emanuel was forced to address today when a reporter asked: “Will CNN be reporting the cost of the production as a income contribution to your campaign for reelection?”

Emanuel answered tepidly, “Don’t you think that’s a question for them to answer?”
